General Manager - Job Description - Full Time Offer

Adult Children of Alcoholics World Service Organization, Inc. (ACA WSO) is a nonprofit 12-Step organization committed to helping individuals recover from the effects of being raised in an alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional environment.

Due to our growth, ACA WSO is creating a new position for a General Manager (GM). Based in the Signal Hill, California office, the GM will report directly to the Board of Trustees (Board) and communicate through written reports, Board meetings and one-on-ones. Overall, the GM will:

1.Lead WSO in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board and the Fellowship of ACA.

2.Manage the WSO office, staff, finances, product distribution, and business operations.

3.Ensure that official records and documents are maintained in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

Professional Qualifications

Qualified candidates must demonstrate a consistent ability to make good decisions and recommendations through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgement.

Specific qualifications should include:

1.A Bachelor’s degree or higher.

2.Self-starter with ability to multi-task.

3.Experience in a Supply chain environment is highly desirable, including significant knowledge of, or first-hand experience with, maintaining adequate inventory levels.

4.Some accounting background and publishing experience are desirable.

5.Significant 12-Step membership, preferably with 2 years’ minimum continuous ACA membership and some experience in 12-Step volunteer service work.

6.Strong management experience and organizational skills in planning, delegating, and program development.

7.Strong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to convey a vision of the organization’s strategic future to all stakeholders.

8.Multi-lingual skills a plus.

Offer and Contact

Salary commensurate with experience and other qualifications. Range: $65,000 to $70,000 per year. Bonus and benefits to be negotiated.

Final interviews will be conducted the last two weeks in April.
